About Us

Down a dirt road, past the Old Point House is where you will find the long standing village tradition that is Angle Lifeboat.

First built a few hundred yards up stream in 1868 this lifeboat station has many tales to tell.

In 1894 the rescue of the Loch Shiel off Thorne Reef brought reward to the village in the shape of 3 silver medals and a cargo of whiskey, many bottles of which can still be found whilst gardening or house renovating in the village, but unfortunately now empty!

With arrival of the stations first motor boat in 1929, things were to become a little easier but no less dangerous as the stations honours list goes to show.

With many volunteers both crew, boathouse and shore, this little piece of Pembrokeshire still keeps up this tradition, now even breaking it in some ways with our first female crew members joining in 2007Mark Mason and Lady Rank

But gone are the days of running by torch light across the field, in 2009 we said good bye to our Tyne Class "Lady Rank" which has been with us for 21 years and took delivery of a brand new Tamar Class lifeboat "Mark Mason"
