Overalls when in the engine room. Full musto kit and lifejacket when on deck.

How do you feel when if you get a call out in the middle of a cold winter's night?
You feel that someone is in trouble and don't know what you are going to encounter when you arrive.

Do you ever manage to have a cup of tea when you are on a shout?
Not really, much too busy with the rescue.

How long does it take to get the lifeboat in the water?
Approx between 12 - 15 minutes from the sound of the pager.

Have you ever saved a boy or girl from the sea? if so how old were they?
Saved several, from the age of 4 - 16 years of age.

Do you ever get sea sick?
Fortunately no.

Have you ever been up in a helicopter?
Yes, it was very exciting, you have a better view of the scenery.

What is the training like?
Second to none. A lot of hard work.

Do you ever get hungry when you are out on a shout?
All the time, we do carry food, but not cooked dinners.
