Katherine

1868 - 1888

 

 

Built by Woolfe of Shadwell in London, costing £281-17-6d the 10 oared, 33' by 8'6", self righter Katherine was a gift of Mr Titus Salt Jnr. of Bradford.

Taken by rail from London to Milford Haven, she arrived in Angle on November 24 1868, where she was housed at Angle Point in a stone boathouse with a wooden slip, which was built by Mr P James at a cost of £170-14-0d.(The station was originally known as Milford Lifeboat Station).

During her time in Angle, Katherine was launched a total of 7 times and 22 lives were saved.
